A visit from Argentina

001

Last week, I had the pleasure to see my bro, Francisco March, who came all the way from Buenos Aires hoping to skate as much as possible here in California. So I thought he would appreciate a visit to the Razors Headquarters, see some of the top-secret prototypes (which I was told not to photograph) and maybe skate the exclusive Razors training facility.

002

Once we got there, we met with Andy Wegener, Matt Morrison & Geoff Acers everyone was so cool, and curious about the skating scene in Argentina, which seems to have gotten a lot better since I lived there, tons of kids skating very well, as Francisco was telling us.
The guys at Razors hooked Fran with some gear and gave us a tour of their offices, the massive warehouse where all the new products are stacked high and ready to ship.

003

It was very cool to see this side of the company, since unless you are in San Diego there is a big chance that you don’t know what happens behind doors.

004

Finally someone said: Hey.. you know, if you would like to try those new Aragon 3 skates we have a small park in the back, so we went there, and instantly recognized the place after seeing some of the Razors Pro, completely destroy the place up on several videos/ ads.
Francisco mentioned that skating with the Aragon 3s felt like cheating, you know when you have to get used to new skates before starting to lace some tricks up? This did not happen with the A3s, Fran started skating the park and told me he felt them a lot lighter than previous skates he tried and that they slide like buttah!

We then visited the Esco Park, and the SDSF store, we met a bunch of the locals and everyone there was so friendly, so we decided to shoot some video for El Papa who is one of the main video editors in Argentina.

005

The next day, we visited the Ocean Beach Skatepark which is an outdoor public park made out of concrete and lots of fun to skate, we didn’t see any rollerblades there, but we still managed to shoot some photos/ video there.

007

008

We also visited another park in Poway, which had several locals that skated insanely good, I feel bad because I don’t remember all their names now, but Fran has the list and will be adding them on the video when its finished.

009

Finally, on his last day, we went to skate some rails in Pacific Beach, my old neighborhood, Fran had no more energy since he’s been skating almost everyday (on top of a snowboarding trip to Big Bear) but we managed to snap a couple of photos there too.

010

Special thanks to all the new friends we met, Andy, Geoff & Matt at Razors, Robert Lievanos, John Elliott, Chris Watters, Russell Day, and all the locals in this great city where amazing rails are pretty much everywhere and the parks are fantastic.

International Kartel Contest, Krasnoyarsk

Don and Dre had a blast in Krasnoyarsk, Siberia: Great skaters, hot girls and they were raving about the skate park. Don said it was so big and so good so that he only skated one half the first day and the other half the next. They want to come back in summer.
