Me and Alex Burston set out to film for this edit for a while ago although the majority was filmed in only four or five sessions. Alex is the kind of skater you want to film with, he can get five or six sick clips at different spots easily in under 2 hours…

Alex Burston from Manchester (England) is one of the fastest rising stars in the European skate scene. Over the last 2 years he was winning various contest such Laced, Chosen Few and Boneyard Jam in England, Ghetto Games in Latvia, Open Street Comp in Moscow and the Pony Cup in Denmark.
He was touring hard and putting out killer edits. His GC section showed the world what we already knew: Burston is here and here to stay.
To celebrate the hard work and dedication Alex has shown we are proud to bring you his first pro skate.

Via Rolling Stone – ‘Adam Yauch, one-third of the pioneering hip-hop group the Beastie Boys, has died at the age of 47, Rolling Stone has learned. Yauch, also known as MCA, had been in treatment for cancer since 2009. The rapper was diagnosed in 2009 after discovering a tumor in his salivary gland.’ Full Article

The interview didn’t go exactly to plan, but at least Yuri Botelho came through with some great photos.
Sometimes resistance is futile, you just have to admit when you are defeated. This interview is a perfect example: We have been a huge fan of Yuri Botelho’s skating for many years and the fact that he is one of only two Brazilian professional rollerbladers to receive a pro skate from a major boot manufacturer is an accomplishment in itself. Then there is the fact that he lands some truly jaw-dropping tricks in the debut Ground Control team video, GC.1. However, this interview was destined to fail from the very beginning….
